Hello and welcome. I’m a visual artist living in both Southern California and Northern Oregon. Through my art, family, experiences and personal search for knowledge, I have an understanding of the reason why we’re here in what we call Life and this venue is a conduit for a free flowing, give and take dialogue with all who may be on the same path. I will explore the art world, both today and yesterday and share inspirational ideas and concepts.
Born in Michigan, I moved to California in my early twenties searching for something more than my mid-western tumultuous upbringing and lifestyle. I married, had two daughters, attended undergraduate and graduate school in art (sculpture and metalsmithing), divorced and raised my children while finishing graduate school and running an art gallery. During this often difficult, busy, and confusing time, I continued my inquiry into love, truth, and compassion within the realm of spirituality.
Throughout my life I’ve continued to make art, as an avenue for emotional healing, moving into bookmaking and small sculpture. Once my children were well along in school, I started practicing yoga and carried on my search for something deeper and meaningful. Christianity saved my life in the late 1970s, but Buddhism brought me a new outlook and acceptance of what had come before, what was now, and what may be. Today I practice yoga and meditate. I have the privilege to know and love my two bright, beautiful and courageous daughters and have recently married the perfect husband. I’ve come to accept and utilize many teachings from a variety of spiritual paths and I see them as the truth of who I am. I hope they will help you get closer to the divine within you, which is the same divine in all things.
Life is good and I want to share my happiness and inner knowledge with others. I hope you enjoy what resides within this journal and find something each time you read to embrace with your heart and soul. May you find your truth.

Hi I’m a student at Lutheran High School San Antonio. I would like to ask for your permission to use the close up picture of the pink flower for a water color painting. It may be entered in an art competition but there are no monetary awards. If it’s okay with you I’d like a email response.
Thank You.
